About Cameron
I’m a loving father, husband, graduate student, and social sciences educator who genuinely enjoys helping others learn. My background in sociology, psychology, and social work has given me a strong understanding of the social sciences and how they connect to everyday life. I also have experience working in educational and nonprofit settings, which has taught me the importance of patience, communication, and meeting people where they are. I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on making classroom material simple, relatable, and easier to understand. My goal is to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel supported, confident, and prepared to succeed.

My approach to tutoring is to make social sciences easier to understand by breaking down difficult concepts into simple explanations and real-world examples. I focus on helping students understand why something is important instead of just memorizing definitions. I also adjust my teaching style based on each student’s needs and learning style.
A typical lesson starts with identifying what the student needs help with. We review the main concepts, go through examples together, and then practice applying the information to assignments, discussion posts, quizzes, or exam questions. I encourage students to ask questions throughout the lesson so we can focus on areas that are still unclear.
What sets me apart is that I am currently a graduate student in social work with a background in sociology and psychology, so I can connect different areas of the social sciences and explain how they relate to real-life situations. I aim to create a relaxed and judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable saying, “I don't understand this.”
My tutoring is ideal for high school and college students taking sociology, social sciences, psychology, social work, or related introductory courses. I can help with understanding course material, studying for exams, completing assignments, and building overall confidence in the subject.
