About Nuha

I am a Fourth year Social Work Student at Ryerson University and have 5 years of university experience. Before transferring into the Social Work Program, I was enrolled in the Bachelors of Arts Program at MacEwan University, where I took a range of liberal arts courses including English, Anthropology, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Social Work.

I have learnt valuable skills related to reading, writing, research, essay writing, test prep, grammar, and more. I have also gained student skills related to note taking, organization, time management, etc. In addition to this, I have both the lived experience and the academic background to assist in other life skills such as mentorship and interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and awareness, and communication skills.

I have always enjoyed being able to support others in their academic success, and so I am happy to be broadening my range of who I can support through working with clients on this platform.

I also have 6+ years of experience in client services that all relate to supporting others in a plethora of ways. The support I have provided ranges from assisting clients in supporting their wellness through natural products and skin care. I am also passionate about social justice issues and advocacy related to women's issues, the criminal justice system, mental health and overall wellness. My side passions include being a skin care consultant, a makeup artist, and a visual artist (painting, drawing, etc.)

If you have any questions related to my experience I am happy to answer them!

About the lesson

As a social worker, I have learnt how to be adaptable to a clients' needs in order to support the most success possible. I prefer a hybrid and collaborative style of teaching, whereby I can collaborate and meet the student in the ways they best receive support. I also enjoy a demonstrator style of teaching, where I am able to use verbal explanations and visual examples to help with understanding.

If a client is open to any form of teaching or would prefer for me to delegate the method, then my natural teaching style is inquiry based instruction and providing narrative explanations along with examples.

All in all I am happy and open minded to support the client in the way that is conducive to their learning needs.

Nuha goes above and beyond every time I ask her for help; in general and with studying for exams/quizzes or when I need extra eyes on a paper before submitting it to my profs! We have known each other for three years now and, without fail, she always comes through. She is dedicated to helping others any time she is asked for help. She is capable, smart, and kind! I would recommend anyone who is looking for extra help in social sciences to contact Nuha, I assure you she will not disappoint!

Nuha is the epitome of calm, cool and collected. As her close friend, I've seen her blossom into a determined, goal oriented, passionate person over the years and I'm honoured to have been able to be at her side along the way. Nuha always keeps an open mind and has never looked down on someone for their thoughts or beliefs. What I admire the most about her, is that she is a people person. She treats everyone fairly and with excessive care of kindness and everyone around her seem to always feel comfortable in her presence. I cannot wait for her to embark on this journey. I promise you will love her!

Nuha is a very compassionate and patient person. She is able to pull on a wealth of knowledge to apply it to unique situations that better peoples lives. She is gentle, focused and intentional with her interactions. I believe Nuha would make a great teacher because she is able to be fun and enthusiastic while maintaining a well grounded direction. She is able to create enriching spaces that are safe, personable and welcoming. As a person who is constantly seeking knowledge to disseminate to her immediate community, Nuha's values truly encompass communal growth, wellbeing and commitment to the betterment of peoples lives. A very distinguished value that I see in Nuha is her amazing communication skills and her ability to give feedback in kind and person focused ways. Any student would be lucky to have her as their teacher.
