About Sofia
CURRICULUM VITAE
A pupil of Viktoria Grigoreva at the RCMJD and, since 2012, a pupil of Maciej Rakowski at the RCM. Performance venues include: Wigmore Hall, St. John’s Smith Square, Cadogan Hall and Royal Festival Hall as soloist, chamber musician and orchestra player. I have recorded Schoenberg String Quartet no. 1 after performing it at the Lewes Chamber Festival and recently performed Steve Reich’s Triple Quartet at the Royal College of Music with the Sacconi Quartet, and performed again with the latter in the recent Sacconi Festival. I attended the Astona International Summer Academy where I performed solo and led both the orchestra and several quartets in public concerts. Work experience includes private violin teaching and practice supervision/repetiteur, aural tuition and music theory.
