About Michael
I started my songwriting career in New York City at workshops and seminars, where I learned methods and styles of songwriting. It was there that I recorded my first songs in the studio in 2015 & 2016. In the following years I worked with musicians, producers and songwriters from Austria. In 2019 I won the Zawinul Award with my own songs, flew to Los Angeles and recorded them there. I released my first song "Somewhere in Neverland" last year under my own label.
My other musical experience includes 13 years of training in classical guitar (winner Prima La Musica 2015, release of solo CD 2020), 3 years of jazz piano at the JMH music school and vocal training at Diepold Voice Studio. I am currently studying jazz and popular music at the Vienna Music Institute after studying songwriting for 1 year.
Under MichaelPaul-Music you can also find my music :)

My "lessons" do not consist of strict hours in which we go through "subject matter", because music doesn't work that way, and certainly not songwriting.
Creating your own piece of music creatively is something very personal and one of the most honest forms of self-expression.
Therefore, I will address you personally in our sessions. We'll take a look at where you stand, why you want to write songs and how we can get the best out of your music. Everyone can write songs and express themselves :)
Through my experience on the guitar, piano, vocals and recording & production as well as in many popular music genres and in German and English, I can teach you a variety of songwriting methods, Teaching approaches, assistance and arranging or showing from scratch how a song is created from beginning to end.

Michael is a very versatile and experienced player, with a background ranging from Classical guitar to Rock and Jazz. He’s a really positive and easy-going person with great energy and a real passion for music. Definitely recommended!!!
Michael is a super crazy guitar player and a patient teacher! I say with certainty that his students can expect lots of fun and improvements from lessons with him.
