About Liza
My fascination with Spanish began during high school when I first visited Madrid on an exchange trip. The warmth, expressiveness, and music of the language captivated me. That experience sparked a lifelong passion for teaching Spanish as more than a subject—it’s a way of seeing the world through connection and storytelling. For eight years, I’ve taught Spanish to students of all levels, from beginners learning their first words to professionals expanding their communication for global work. I blend linguistic precision with cultural depth, emphasizing how language reflects identity and community. My lessons focus on engagement, empathy, and personal growth. Outside teaching, I travel to Spanish-speaking countries whenever possible to stay connected with evolving language trends and regional differences. I also study literature and film to enrich my classroom with authentic cultural insights. Teaching Spanish isn’t just my job—it’s my calling, a way to share the beauty and humanity woven into every phrase.

Intermediate learners deepen their skills through dialogues, short readings, and grammar reinforcement, while advanced students refine fluency through literature, essays, and discussions on cultural topics. I use a wide range of authentic materials—songs, films, news articles—to make learning engaging and real.
More than memorizing words, Spanish lessons are about developing an ear for rhythm and tone—learning to feel the language. I help students move beyond fear of mistakes, encouraging curiosity and participation. My goal is to make every lesson a bridge to authentic self-expression, where Spanish becomes not just a language you study, but one you live and enjoy.
