About LUCAS
Hi, my name is Lucas and I am from Madrid (Spain). I am currently doing a MA in Media and Globalisation at Nottingham Trent University. I am a journalist and I am right now working for Business Insider Spain.
Alongside my journalist career I have always had an eye on teaching Spanish. I love talking, writing and everything related with communication as well as meeting new people. If you are looking for someone professional but also friendly, I am your teacher!

My teaching method is well-easy, I try to create an atmosphere where my students feel immersed into the Spanish culture during the class. Therefore, the students will just talk in Spanish for an hour, and we will do activities focus on truly learn the Spanish language, not just boring grammar exercise. In this sense, every week I provide a large list of texts to read, as well as films, podcast, music playlists and Tv series so the student can decide which one fits him or her more. My classes usually are a twenty minutes warm up just talking about daily stuff, and then do some oral exercises regarding the weekly material provided before.
However, I definitely can adapt myself to my students requests. They might want to work something specific like their writing skills for their school/Uni essays, or their just want to improve their speaking for a job interview.
Within our first session we will discuss what does the student want to achieve at the end of the course and which is the best way to reach these goals. So, if you want to prepare an official Spanish test or just practice your conversation, do not hesitate to contact me.

He is really patient and explains everything clearly and throughly. If I didn’t understand something he tried to think of new ways to explain it to me, which was amazing! I managed to pass my Spanish exam thanks to him.
