About Katy
My journey with Spanish began eight years ago, inspired by its expressiveness, rhythm, and cultural richness. I have taught students of all ages and skill levels, helping them achieve fluency and confidence while fostering a love for the language. Teaching Spanish allows me to guide students in discovering their own voice and expressing themselves authentically. I adopt an immersive, student-centered teaching approach that blends grammar, conversation, and cultural activities. Lessons are adapted to each learner’s needs and learning style, with mistakes framed as growth opportunities that build resilience and confidence. Outside teaching, I explore Hispanic literature, music, and cultural experiences to enrich my instruction. My goal is to help students develop language proficiency, cultural understanding, and lifelong communication skills.
