Andrea has been teaching my 12 years old son and she has been brilliant. She is always on time, prepares relevant and interesting materials and makes sure that the lessons are fun and engaging. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn Spanish.

I have known Andrea for more than five years, firstly as the teacher of the Spanish class I was attending at the time and secondly as a private tutor in one-to-one classes. I have to say that Andrea is a fantastic teacher, the best language tutor I have ever had. Her classes are very varied, combining themes that range from general Spanish culture to the most up-to-date and topical subjects as featured in news publications, magazines and TV broadcasts. All this is combined with a very structured curriculum around grammar, vocabulary and general language use. Andrea is clearly a very experienced teacher, who is excellent at explaining the most complex language structures and grammar concepts in very simple, understandable terms. She comes to the class very well prepared, with good humour, patience, passion and enthusiasm around her profession. It is very hard not to love the Spanish language and culture and not to become fluent in Spanish if one commits to learning this language under Andrea’s supervision. In about four years, I managed to progress from having a basic understanding of the language to reading Spanish and Latin American literature in original format and watching Spanish films and TV programmes without dubbing or subtitles. Having learnt this language as an adult and not as a child/teenager, with the cognitive skills associated to my age group, I strongly believe that Andrea’s tutorship and teaching methods were the key to my success. I would strongly recommend Andrea to anyone who wants to learn or improve their Spanish.

I have attended Andreas Spanish for beginners classes for nearly a year now. The classes are very friendly, and everyone enjoys the rapport that has developed between teacher and pupils.. We have fun! And learn.. I recommend Andrea as she makes learning enjoyable.

Andrea has done a fantastic job of teaching me Spanish, with clear teaching, use of Spanish as the first language in class for more thorough immersion (despite only being at A1 level), and adding in a little extra vocab to give a more personal experience.

I’ve been learning Spanish under Andrea’s guidance for just under a year. For me, I knew learning a new language was going to be a challenge as I was never any good at this sort of thing when I was at school. I was nervous of how things would turn out and whether I might give up because of the work, effort and commitment needed. I’m still going and whilst I’m not a natural I keep going because quite simply it’s fun and stimulating.

My class is all online and I have to say, it works. I had no idea how a pure online class would work but it does and Andrea makes it so easy and effortless, in fact being entirely online makes it easier to attend. I’ve attended from home, office and even from Spain!

Here is my view of things after three terms of effort in no particular order.

1. Andrea is patient with everyone - she does not let anything affect her approach
2. Andrea thrives when students participate and engage - it’s up to each student to put in effort and learn but they enjoy it when it is done with a sprinkling of fun
3. The lessons are at a perfect pace for me
4. Online working works because Andrea is super effective with the tools, the learning flow, the materials and the students she has to work with
5. Andrea does everything with a good balance of technical correctness and pragmatism for good enough at the level we are at
6. Andrea adds empathy for her students and is ‘forgiving’ of her students and their own conditions and situation
7. Andrea allows people to go at their own pace - she adapts and continues to give encouragement and acceptance
8. Andrea is clearly technically very knowledgeable and also fantastic with English and probably many other languages.

I have a very busy job but I make time to stay in the lessons because I enjoy the lessons and look forward to the release from the rest of my week. Andrea thrives on the energy of the students and the class dynamics, she embraces and uses that energy to create a learning environment that is appropriate for the group in question.

In my view, you won’t go wrong with Andrea as your teacher, you’ll have fun and you’ll learn… Perfect!

Andrea has been my Spanish teacher for over 10years and I couldn't recommend her highly enough. Her professionalism and drive are very impressive - even after all of this time - and the positivity and motivation she brings to each lesson would be very hard to find elsewhere. Her approach to teaching is methodical and thorough yet she makes each class and discussion interesting and lively (we laugh a lot sometimes too!). In conclusion, Andrea is a very warm and understanding teacher who works hard to get the best out of her students, and I couldn't imagine working with another teacher now.

Andrea is a fantastic teacher. We had one-to-one Spanish lessons which meant that she could tailor the sessions to my specific requirements. She is tough when she needs to be (E.g. if I miss assignments) but extremely patient and friendly. I looked forward to our weekly sessions.

Andrea is a wonderful teacher and person. The first time I had a lesson with her my level was B1 and I continued studying with her all the way through C1. Her classes offered a good mixture of grammar and speaking – when I reached C1 the focus was a lot more on speaking, but we kept reviewing grammar, especially the areas I was more interested in revising. Andrea is so good at explaining complex grammar subjects while keeping her students engaged (and entertained, too!). I always felt at east in her classes and always looked forward to them. I can’t recommend her enough!

I worked with Andrea for years in the Spanish language school where she is the Director of Studies. She has proven to be an excellent professional in her field, from interviewing, training and assisting new or less experience teachers in the school, to creating teaching resources for the school workbooks. I've been studying spanish with Andrea for 3 and a half years in a 2 hrs once por week evening class in central London.
I started the course from A1 beginners, had never studied spanish before and thanks to Andrea I am now fluent and I use my spanish at work almost daily.
What made the difference in her way of teaching is definitely her commitment and the passion she put into it, even tho it was a class of 12 people I always felt she wanted to be sure everyone of us had understood the lesson completely before going ahead with the program.
She is who can be called a linguist, her knowledge of the spanish language is astonishing, there has never been a moment she couldn't thoroughly answer in details to a question about grammar or vocabulary.
