About Johnny
Hey, I’m Johnathan! I’m a Spanish teacher with a real passion for language and education. After earning my degree in Languages and International Tourism (Spanish), I spent several years living and working in Spain, fully diving into the language and culture. I’m currently working as a Spanish teacher at the secondary school level, where I get to help students at all levels improve their language skills. I’ve worked with Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert students, tailoring lessons to focus on the areas they find most challenging. Having learned Spanish myself as a non-native speaker, I understand the struggles and I love offering practical tips, clear explanations, and plenty of support to make learning Spanish more fun and effective.

I offer Spanish classes for all levels – whether you’re sitting the Junior Cycle or Leaving Cert, learning the language for the first time, or preparing for a holiday and want to master the basics before you go. My lessons are fully tailored to your goals, whether that’s exam preparation, conversational Spanish, or building everyday confidence. I hold a degree in Languages and International Tourism (Spanish) and I’m currently completing a Master's in Education. Having lived and worked in Spain for several years, I bring both cultural insight and practical knowledge of the language to my teaching. I have experience teaching secondary school students at both JC and LC level, helping them prepare for oral, written, and grammar exams. As a native English speaker who has mastered Spanish myself, I understand the common difficulties Irish students face and know the tips and tricks that make learning easier. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s needs – whether that’s strengthening grammar, building vocabulary, improving fluency, or focusing on exam preparation and performance. I want students to leave my classes feeling more confident, motivated, and ready to succeed.
