About Alicia
I am a passionate primary and special education teacher. I have been teaching for 14 years, from Canada to Thailand. In those 14 years, I have learned to see the child first. I have a Bachelor's in Primary/Elementary Education, a Bachelor's in Special Education and a Master's in Education that focused in Literacy development. Recently, I began my journey towards becoming a Play Therapist as well. Personally, I struggled learning to read and write, and understand the frustration children feel when seeing a page of squiggles. With both my academic knowledge and personal knowledge I hope to help your child avoid these feelings.

Using researchers, such as Lucy Calkins and Matt Glover, along with a balanced approach to literacy, lessons will include a child first approach. These lessons will begin with getting to know your child and their current literacy behaviours, and develop from here. Every child's lessons will be developed individually.
