About Ann
I am a Special Needs Teacher with a focus on implementing evidence-based and developmentally appropriate teaching strategies to support children’s learning. I utilize structured, play-based interventions, communication temptation techniques, and targeted social skills training to enhance engagement, functional communication, and social interaction with both educators and peers, thereby facilitating speech and language development.
I am trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and have experience in managing a range of challenging behaviors, including vocal outbursts, repetitive self-stimulatory behaviors, task avoidance, inattention, and aggression, across both school and home environments. Intervention strategies are individualized and data-informed to promote positive behavioral outcomes.
I recognize that behavioral presentations may vary across developmental stages. As such, I place strong emphasis on providing consistent emotional support and fostering emotional regulation skills. In addition to academic instruction, I support the development of adaptive communication and self-expression to enable more effective understanding and responsiveness from caregivers and professionals.
