About Andrew
I am a professional artist with a MFA from SAIC and a BFA from Tyler School of Art. I have 25 years of experience teaching public school students in NYC. My students were extremely successful in portfolio acceptances and art competitions, and have gone on to the top art colleges in the United States.

I approach my lessons based on the individual strengths of each student from beginner to advanced artists. Once I have evaluated your work I will cater lessons to you. I will teach you techniques, develop your creativity, help you reach your goals, and develop your voice as an artist. My students have won awards in multiple categories so I know I can help prepare you for success!
For more advanced students, I will help you develop or improve existing art projects to achieve better results and expand your visual vocabulary.
Lessons may include charcoal drawing, ink, pencil, pastel, collage, mixed media, acrylic, watercolor, and oil painting. My educational background and 25 years of experience have prepared me for anything you may need.
If you need to apply to universities or high schools or would like to enter competitions I have first had experience as an educator and judge.
