About Dakota
I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication and a minor in Psychology. I have over a decade of experience in academic Speech and Debate, with a focus in narrative argumentation, classical rhetoric, critical theory, and accessibility. I am trained in academic and business writing, and can use these skills to help you write better, more communicative papers. I have a background in disability studies, and will bring that knowledge to the table in order to help learners with disabilities, English Language Learners, and those with communication apprehension and general anxiety.

Accessibility is key to learning. While I tend to approach teaching through practice, conversation, and revision I am open to adapting to the learning styles of others. I believe that accessible education ought to be the baseline for teacher, rather than an additional option for those with disabilities. I am willing to take the time to work through basics, or to move along to areas of deep theory as necessary.
