About Laura
I'm a 27-year old Australian Speech Therapist who has achieved C2 level proficiency in Italian. I've been tutoring Italian for 9 years, up to university level, and have been very pleased to receive very positive feedback from my students, both in terms of learning, enjoyment, and achievement. As a non-native speaker, I can offer lots of strategies and techniques to help students improve their Italian, considering I have used them myself to achieve mastery of the language! As a Speech Therapist, I can also provide pronunciation tips and intuitive ways to learn the various facets of the language.

I have a very flexible teaching style, and always ask my students how they prefer to learn so that I can tailor my style to suit their preferences. I aim for all lessons to include practice using the language, as well as activities and explanations relevant to my students goals and needs. I love it when my students ask me questions, because it helps us to focus on what they specifically need extra help with!
Having studied the language myself for many years, I am also very familiar with exam tasks and techniques, and I also have experience gearing classes towards students' upcoming exams.
