About Spencer
I want to teach trombone lessons to share my passion for music, build confident musicians, and make learning enjoyable. My lessons are clear, supportive, and personalized, helping students strengthen their technique, develop musicality, stay motivated, and make real, meaningful progress. Together, we create a learning experience where students grow faster and feel proud of what they achieve.

My teaching philosophy centers on the foundation of a great brass player: tone quality. I believe that a beautiful sound is the gateway to musical expression. A typical lesson with me follows a structured, high-impact flow:
Fundamentals: Building strength and breath support.
Tone Development: Refining your unique voice on the instrument.
Etude Work: Applying technique to real-world musical pieces.
As a current university student, music education major and active performer, I bring the most modern teaching techniques and fresh perspectives to our sessions. I specialize in helping beginner to intermediate players reach that 'next level' of confidence.
