I started teaching in 2006 and began teaching as an English and Drama teacher at A level, GCSE and KS3. In recent years I have primarily focused on English GCSE in my day job in my school but have continued to teach English Langugae and English literature A Level through tutoring.
I currently work in Further Education with students and adults who are studying a vocational subject and need to obtain their GCSE in English Language. I specialise in helping retake students make the changes needed after struggling in school.
I am a mum of 2 crazy girls and to obtain a decent work life balance I have recently moved to part time teaching and school and took up more tutoring as it is in this setting which I get the most enrichment from. Small groups and individual teaching allows me to connect with the pupils needs and better tailor my teaching to them - this is often difficult to achieve when in-front of 31 pupils. Teaching is my passion and tutoring has helped me to find this again.
