I'm Stefan — I study Computer Science and Mathematics at Edinburgh and I've been obsessed with maths for years. I don't just teach you how to pass, I make it actually make sense.

About Stefan
I've always loved mathematics — from being the only student in my school to achieve an A in National 5 Maths, to going on to study Advanced Higher Mathematics and university-level courses including multivariable calculus and linear algebra.
Outside of academics, I'm a competition winner — I took first place at the Jane Street Math Estimation Competition, one of the most prestigious maths challenges in the UK. I also have nine years of piano experience, so I understand what it takes to practise something consistently and get better over time — and I bring that same patience and discipline to my teaching.
I believe that anyone can be good at maths with the right support. My goal isn't just to help students pass an exam — it's to help them actually understand and enjoy the subject.

About the lesson

How I teach: I don't just show you the method and hope for the best. I break down every topic until it clicks properly, then we hammer it with past paper questions until you can do it in your sleep. No skipping ahead until you've actually got it.
Lessons: 1 hour each, online via Zoom. I keep it focused — no filler, no wasted time. I'll set you targeted practice between sessions so you're not just learning once a week and forgetting it all.
Who it's for: S4 students sitting N5 Maths — whether you're struggling to pass, sitting somewhere in the middle, or chasing that A. Also happy to help S3 students getting a head start.
