About Erick
I am an elementary school teacher with an immense passion for music and teaching. I have been playing the piano for 20 years now. From 2001 to 2010, I was classically trained and eventually developed an ear for music composition.

My teaching method is based on two factors: joy and practice. As an educator, I find it very important to make education marketable and enjoyable. I usually start off my classes with fingering exercises/techniques to heighten finger dexterity and flexibility. Then, I move into the importance of music theory (i.e. reading notes, basic rhythm, music notation, etc.). Finally, my students will apply their knowledge and learn simple, mainstream songs so they can show what they know to family, friends, and loved ones.
