About Siya
I am greatly passionate about English and philosophy, and look to inspire students through discussions. My lessons tend to be quite informal and centred around discussion, to broaden the students creative and analytical skills in the long term, to really impress interviewers or secure a top grade. I often present the student with a new idea, or text, followed by some difficult questions to push them out of their comfort zones. I find this is the best way to inspire a genuine intellectual curiosity which teachers and interviewers alike are able to appreciate.

Moving schools for sixth forms can be a stressful experience which I have been through myself. I have found that sessions centred around developing critical and out of the box thinking in students results in the most successful outcomes; with them majority of my students securing places at top UK private schools. During sessions, we will analyse texts, and have spirited debate to prepare for entrance interviews and exams.
In regards to GCSE tutoring, I tutor students in both English literature and language, History, RSP, and geography. We go through past papers, and I share a number of resources including personal notes, and model essays.
