About Jonathan
I started programming when I was 11 and have never stopped. I am now 24 years old, so I already have 12-13 years of experience in programming. I am currently completing my bachelor's degree at the University of Amsterdam. Here I also got high marks for many subjects, including the programming subjects, of course. I also have a part-time job at an American start-up. Here I am responsible for all technology, including software programming and setting up / maintaining our servers (DevOps).
I believe I'm not the best programmer alive. That is simply not possible at my age, but I am very good at simplifying problems or challenges, so that I can easily come up with a solution. This is a skill I want to teach other students.

In the lessons, I want to teach the student which steps to follow to take a problem, divide it into smaller parts and produce a good solution. We look at homework assignments (if you have them) and try to come to a solution step by step. Of course I won't just give you the answer (unless we really get stuck). The goal is that the student learns how to go from problem to solution. The duration of the lessons varies, although I prefer not to spend more than two hours per lesson. My classes are designed for high school students, college students, and university undergraduate students. I am also open to teach people who are not students, who have an interest in learning how to write code.
