About Juliana
I am a student / teacher in English formation by the course of degree in Foreign Language - English of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). I teach since August 2018 and currently work with revision of academic texts in Portuguese and English at the UFBA Publishing House.

My teaching method is focused on the development of these four skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking, which are worked out in levels of learning and according to the student's resourcefulness. I base my classes on comparative and descriptive grammar, which consist respectively of the comparative study between the language family (Germanic, in the case of English) and the study that seeks to describe the facts of language rather than focusing on right and wrong ( such as normative grammar). I approach the subject in a free way, using audiovisual resources to stimulate learning, such as films, series, online videos, music, etc. Less focus on structuring verbs / verbal tenses and more focus on the use of language as a communication tool.
