About Ethan
I am a music student currently studying for my undergraduate degree in Music & Popular Music at the University of Liverpool! I am not all writing and theorising though, as I have vast experience in live performance as a guitarist! I have performed gigs with multiple bands in N.Ireland over the years, having raised myself to that standard as a music performer. I have interests in many different genres and styles of music, which gives me a great overall appreciation for the thing that we all love; music!
I come from a sports background however, where I learned through experience that good teaching and coaching requires a specific and tailored approach to each individual member of a team. Everybody has a unique learning style, and it is the job of a coach or tutor to figure out what works for each student in order for them to achieve their full potential. This is what I strive to do with my tutoring sessions.
I may be relatively inexperienced as a tutor, although I have coached athletes from the ages of 7+ and understand how to work WITH people to ensure that they thrive.

I believe that every tutoring session should be individually tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each student, as no one size fits all in my mind. Having prior experience in coaching sports, I know that everybody requires a unique approach for success.
I can cover as little or as much ground as required by each student. Whether you are a complete beginner or someone that is struggling with a tricky concept or two, I can tailor my lessons to suit YOUR needs and help broaden your understanding and knowledge.
Typical lesson lengths can range from 30 minutes to 60 minutes, although exceptions can be made depending on the needs of each individual.
My experience and qualifications currently mean that I am best suited to tutoring beginners and intermediates. For those studying music in an educational setting, I am particularly suited to tutor those taking GCSE and Level 3 / A-Level music. I specialise in Popular Music, although I do have the ability to cater my lessons for those taking Classical Music units.
