About Alex
I have always had a soft spot for helping people feel good not only about themselves but their abilities and their sense of belonging as well. Through tutoring I've been able to channel this joy of mine. I've helped my peers with math and science countless times this past year and fostered and solidified their understandings of the material. One could definitely consider me a people person I find I can get along with almost everybody relatively easily and I think that's really important for an efficient and positive tutoring environment.

As a tutor I'm able to connect well with students I find that a more informal and comfortable environment is important especially in students that are much younger than myself. I'm very composed and patient in my tutorage and will always make sure that the students have a well rounded understanding not just how to do certain problems but the conceptual aspects behind it so they are able to do every problem under that subtopic. A typical lesson plan may vary depending on the student I can mold the lesson plans for the students individual needs while also following a more general plan for that course or topic. My tutor classes are for anyone needing help in a math course up to calculus or a chemistry based science course; I welcome everybody warmly and am always glad to help.
