About Anna
I am a 21 year old Drama and English Literature student. I am also a professional actor. The skills I developed during A Level and throughout my degree in analysing writing, and finding my own interpretations have boosted my confidence in everyday life; it is an important life lesson to learn to trust your own judgement and know how to back yourself up! They have also given me a new perspective on my approach to acting and script. I would love to encourage other students to also find confidence in their own judgements, and also to come up with unique ideas surrounding a book, play or script.

To write an essay, the most important thing to work on is encouraging a student to have confidence and conviction in their own ideas and interpretations of a text.
I like to begin lessons getting to know each student, and exploring what they feel confident in and interested in generally. Following on, we will work on applying this confidence to their analysis of a text, and subsequent writings.
Alongside University, I am a professional actress, and have learnt throughout my career so far the importance of games and play in encouraging people to open up to new ideas, and in getting people to feel inspired in their creativity. I like to begin lessons with a game, a debate, to again encourage students to confidently think, analyse and write.
