About Jana
I'm interested in teaching because I believe that it's a fun way to not only make a bit of an income, but also meet lots of people and potentially make some friends around the world. I've tutored on online platforms before and I thoroughly enjoyed. It's a good way to also educate yourself on things from other people's perspectives when chatting about things. On the other hand, by working and helping other people with certain languages I feel like it also keeps my own brain moving and by searching for activities we often learn more things!

I am an Environmental & Geographical Science, Portuguese and Anthropology major at the UCT. My stronger marks have always been in the subjects that include languages. I matriculated with English and Afrikaans Home Language and got over 70 for both of these subjects. I have gained lots of tutoring experience on other platforms and I have completed my TEFL 3 certificate. I'm a young student who enjoys chatting and I am reliable in many ways! I enjoy hearing stories and getting to know people from different places, and I'm hoping to one day travel a bit once I've finished my studies. I'm originally from Sao Tome island, but moved to South Africa at the age of 10, which means that I have a multicultural background making things a bit more interesting (at least for me!).
