About Esha
I am a friendly, patient and approachable person who genuinely enjoys working with children and young people and helping them reach their potential. I currently work in a school, where I work with students aged 5–19, giving me valuable experience in understanding different personalities, learning needs and abilities. I am confident in building positive relationships with students and creating a calm, supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and expressing when they need extra help. I am reliable, responsible and professional, and I always aim to make students feel encouraged and confident in their abilities.

My approach to tutoring is centred around making lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's individual needs. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and are encouraged to understand the reasoning behind what they are learning rather than simply memorising information. I use a combination of clear explanations, guided practice, questioning, examples, exam-style questions and regular feedback to identify areas for improvement and build confidence. I adapt my teaching style depending on the student's age, ability and learning preferences, and I aim to make lessons interactive rather than simply talking through content. A typical lesson is around 60 minutes, although I am happy to adapt the length depending on the student's age and requirements. I achieved Grade 9s at GCSE and A grades at A-Level and am currently studying Sociology and Criminology at UCL, giving me a strong academic foundation, particularly in social science subjects. I also currently work in a school and have experience working with students aged 5–19, which has developed my ability to communicate effectively with different age groups, support students with varying abilities and create a positive learning environment. My lessons are primarily aimed at secondary school students and GCSE students, although I can also support younger learners and students studying relevant A-Level subjects. My main goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to develop their confidence, independence and enjoyment of learning.
