About Joshua
My name is Joshua Old, and I have come from Britain, to New Zealand in order to study at Victoria University of Wellington. I am a Saxophonist, Clarinetist and Flautist, but my passion is Composing, which is what I study.
I believe that Music Theory and being able to understand what you are playing is essential for all musicians, as it can help you with musical phrasing, improvisation and working in group settings.

About the lesson

Depending on the prior knowledge of the student, we can start from the very basics of reading the clefs all the way to practicing counterpoint, harmonisation and analysis.
Lessons would be $35 for an hour
Manuscript Paper and writing utensils are the only essentials however ABRSM or Trinity Theory books are advisable. A piano or a keyboard also helps.
