About Alisa
My professional experience is thorough having worked at an accounting firm for almost 6 years after graduating from college with my undergraduate degree. I then pursued my master's degree while working full-time at the firm. I found it invaluable to have the real world experience while receiving my education. My clients ranged from small businesses to larger corporations. We provided accounting services as well as business management services and I have experience with both. I realized I had a passion for teaching and find it incredibly rewarding seeing others succeed. It is with this passion that I hope I can inspire others to follow their passions and even if math is not their passion, I am confident I can help my students overcome their obstacles whether it is algebra, business math, basic logic problems, or any other subjects.

I believe the lessons should be as interesting as possible! Getting to know my students will help determine the lesson plan as I believe the best learning environment is engaging and relevant to your life. Repetition is found to be the most effective way to retain information but in my experience, the problem was how the information was presented. My goal is to present the information in a new and mentally stimulating way. In this way, students can better understand the material and be engaged in learning.
