About Marina
My name is Marina, and I am a certified Russian teacher specializing in teaching foreign students. I have completed professional training in teaching Russian and hold several certifications, including “Theory and Methods of Teaching Oral Communication in Russian” and “Game-Based Practices in Teaching Russian.”
I was born and raised in Russia, where I spent most of my life. I hold a Master’s degree in Law, as well as a teaching qualification in legal studies from the Russian Federation. I also earned an LL.M. in European Business Law.
For 10 years, I worked as a lawyer. Six years ago, I decided to change my career path and fully dedicate myself to my second vocation, teaching.
To support this transition, I completed additional specialized training in teaching Russian as a foreign language. Today, I combine my academic background, professional experience, and passion for languages to help my students learn Russian in an effective and engaging way.

As someone who has been learning foreign languages for many years, I understand that the process can sometimes feel tedious. Through my experience as both a student and a teacher, I have identified the key elements of effective and enjoyable language learning: clear explanations of grammar basics, learning new vocabulary followed by immediate practice, and the use of varied and interactive materials. These include not only textbooks, but also modern resources such as images, games, videos, podcasts, and even content created by bloggers.
In my lessons, I use tools tailored for both French and English speakers, including textbooks where grammar is presented in a simple and structured way. I also use interactive platforms that make learning Russian engaging through quizzes and practical activities. Depending on your interests and goals, I can recommend YouTubers, podcasts, or modern Russian music to enrich your learning experience and keep it enjoyable.
