About Kristel Joy
Hello! My name is Kristel Joy, and I am passionate about helping students learn and grow in the Filipino language. I believe that every student has the ability to succeed when they are guided with patience, encouragement, and the right teaching approach.
As a tutor, I strive to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their ideas. Hello! I'm Kristel Joy, and I believe that learning Filipino should be engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable. My goal as a tutor is to help students develop their skills in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the Filipino language while building their confidence in using it both inside and outside the classroom.
My Teaching Method and Techniques
I use a student-centered teaching approach that encourages active participation and critical thinking. I explain lessons in a simple and organized way, use real-life examples to make concepts easier to understand, and include interactive activities, discussions, and exercises to strengthen learning. I also adjust my teaching methods according to each student's learning style and pace.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson starts with a short review of the previous topic to reinforce understanding. I then introduce the new lesson through clear explanations, examples, and guided discussions. Students participate in activities such as reading comprehension, grammar exercises, vocabulary building, or writing tasks. The lesson ends with a short assessment, feedback, and a summary of the key points to ensure that learning objectives are achieved.
