About Mackenzie
I have been teaching at the elementary level for three years now. My philosophy as a teacher is to use a student-centered approach, where I recognize that each student may need something different. As we work together I will build rapport to understand you as a person, and a learner.

As an educator, it is my goal to help you confidently grow your skills in reading and writing. For three years, I have watched my fourth grade students build their foundations of reading, so they are no longer learning how to read, but reading to learn. I am a LETRs certified teacher.
