About Tia
Hi, I’m a friendly and supportive maths tutor with one year of experience helping students up to Year 9 strengthen their understanding and grow in confidence. I enjoy working with younger learners and aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, engaging with new ideas and developing their skills at their own pace.
I know that maths can sometimes feel frustrating or overwhelming, so I focus on making it more accessible through clear explanations and a patient, structured approach. My aim is to help students build strong foundations in maths, while also developing the confidence and resilience they need to approach the subject more positively.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs and goals, whether they are looking for support with classwork, homework, revision, or strengthening key maths skills. I work with students below GCSE level and can help with consolidating core topics, improving problem-solving skills and revisiting areas they may find challenging.
During lessons, I use clear explanations, guided practice and step-by-step support to help students build understanding in a manageable way. I adapt the pace and structure of each session to suit the learner, ensuring that lessons feel supportive, focused and productive. My goal is not only to help students make steady academic progress, but also to encourage greater independence and a more positive relationship with maths over time.
