About Miguel
I am a foreign language teacher and I love both teaching and learning them.
What I like most about Levantine Arabic is the debate it sparks, the political aspect, and how alive it is. Knowing this Arabic at a B2.1 level, as this variety is understood by everyone and is very close to modern standard Arabic, has helped me to communicate with people from North Africa, who respond in FusHa, or Egyptians, who do so in Egyptian and can be understood very well.
My goal is not to get you to write in class, you can do that at home, but to get you to speak and communicate.

I like to teach Syrian-Palestinian or Levantine Arabic in an interactive way, incorporating movement into the lessons. I have experience in theatre and teaching languages in a dynamic and creative way.
Levantine Arabic is a living language, so I like to teach it from the perspective of culture - I am a dabke dancer - and the anecdotes that help to acquire words in a more emotional and faster way.
