About Jason
Simply put, I am a guy that wants to give people the ability to harness technology to make their own systems. After 15 years of working on web-based software and cloud systems, I would like to share my experiences with those willing to learn. I believe we are moving into a time where people will be able to create software with little to no knowledge of the craft. Recently that has led to more insecure software, terrible data leaks, and hacks. Seeing this as a growing problem area, I would be glad to prepare people to take on the challenge.

Howdy, I'd like to use my 15 years as a Software and Cloud Engineer to help you become a more capable coder, engineer, or executive. While this is intended for working professionals, students and people transitioning careers are very welcome!
When it comes to guiding you, my approach looks something like:
- Learning a bit about your background and objectives
- Identify both technologies you work with & want to learn
- Connect the technologies with core skills and related roles
- Work together on a mix of challenges and exercises:
- Coding challenges
- Textbook exercises
- Small projects
- Simulated environments
Ideally, we will collaborate using a combination of video communications and live coding spaces. This allows us to perform Pair Programming, a workflow allowing a more senior engineer to guide the learner's progress& understanding
