About Harriet
I want to teach Tagalog because I’ve seen how language can bring people closer together. When I helped my husband learn Tagalog, I watched him connect with my family in a deeper, more meaningful way. Seeing that connection grow made me realise how powerful and beautiful it is to share my language and culture with others. Teaching Tagalog isn’t just about grammar or vocabulary for me — it’s about helping others feel confident communicating and building real relationships. I love seeing my students progress and enjoy the learning process, just like my husband did.

Hi! I’m a native Filipino speaker with a Bachelor’s degree and over six years of experience working as a QA Analyst in the Philippines, where I developed strong communication and analytical skills. I started teaching Tagalog when I helped my husband learn the language — I translated English to Filipino so he could understand my family, and helped him express himself in Tagalog too. Through that experience, I discovered how fun and rewarding it is to teach!
