About Miley
I’m Miley from Taiwan, currently in Australia on a working holiday experience and studying at a language school to improve my English. I recently graduated with a degree in Business Management, and I decided to come to Australia to explore new environments, improve my English, and meet people from different cultures. I’ve always enjoyed working with children, and during the past few years I’ve naturally found myself in roles involving kids, creativity, and communication. Teaching Mandarin feels like a meaningful way for me to do something I genuinely enjoy while also sharing my language and culture abroad. I’m a friendly and easy-going person, and I really value building a comfortable connection with each student. I hope through this experience, I can not only help children learn something new, but also grow myself through meeting different families and children here in Australia.

For the past five years, I’ve been working with children through storytelling, play-based learning, arts and crafts, and various educational activities. During this time, I’ve learned that people learn best when they feel comfortable, engaged, and supported. My lessons are suitable for learners of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to more advanced students. However, I mainly specialise in teaching young children and helping them build a strong foundation in Mandarin through fun and interactive lessons. I can teach Zhuyin (Bopomofo), pronunciation, speaking, reading, writing, and everyday conversation. I like to design lessons that are practical and enjoyable, using games, stories, songs, and hands-on activities instead of only worksheets. I always adjust my teaching style depending on each student’s age, personality, and learning needs. Whether you’re looking for support for your child, or starting your own Mandarin learning journey, I’d love to create a positive and encouraging learning experience for you.
