About Gerry

After 14 years of teaching students from China, Brazil, Tahiti, South Korea, Russia, Argentina, Japan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, India, Spain, Turkey, Chile, and Armenia, I have learned quite a lot about different learning styles, and I keep this in mind when teaching my students. I am a patient teacher, a good listener, and I enjoy sharing a joke with my students and learning about their lives while sharing about my life in New Zealand. I expect my students to make an effort to complete homework tasks I set as I put considerable planning and thought into each lesson. I can even help you with your understanding of Kiwi English!

About the lesson

We can focus on the individual topics or a combination - Speaking - Reading - Listening - Writing as well as Grammar (which is so much fun!) and Vocabulary. I can teach you skills to improve your results in all areas. One-hour lessons are best - we will focus on what you need and I will share my resources and show great websites for you to practice with.
