Teach Knowledgeable Metallurgy and Basics of Engineering & Technology , Basic Sciences.

I first met Kailash when we were undergraduate students at PSG Tech and later we were colleagues at Titan Watches.

What struck me about Kailash was his ability and the effort he takes to understand the foundations of a field, absorb it and then apply it in practice. He excelled in this as not only a fellow tutor to his classmates but also as a professional practitioner in the Metallurgy and Heat Treatment shop, where he trained technicians about the intricacies of treating high precision metallic components (rare metals and alloys) for the watch industry.

Kailash's solid theoretical knowledge in metallurgy and the applied knowledge he has gathered over the years -- hands-on, in process design and sales -- make him a walking, living and breathing cornucopia in the field of Metallurgy. Last but not least, his patient teaching and listening skills -- including the effort he takes to understand his student's weaknesses and strengths as an individual and in a particular subject -- make him an outstanding professor. Truth be told, I myself would be honored to sit and audit one of his classes to refresh my knowledge of metallurgy that I first learnt as a mechanical engineering student.

Kailash as a professor will not only help his students pass exams but will so ingrain knowledge -- to use a metaphor, *alloy* it within and inside the mind and *temper* it with wisdom -- so that it could be applied with great rigor and produce results when a problem in metallurgy has to be solved.

I view Kailash as an A-grade professor, a great teacher for both beginners and advanced practitioners.
