About Zach
I've been passionate about media studies for years—I studied it at GCSE, A-level, and I'm now pursuing it at degree level. This journey has given me a deep understanding of the subject from a student's perspective, and I know exactly what it takes to succeed at each stage. I've worked in classroom environments and have informally tutored students at school level, which has given me plenty of experience adapting my teaching to different learning styles. I'm also dyslexic and have DCD myself, so I have first-hand experience with the challenges that come with learning differences. This means I'm particularly confident working with students with SEN—I understand what works, what doesn't, and how to make content accessible without dumbing it down. Whether you learn differently or just want someone who gets the pressures of exams, I'm here to help you succeed.

I'm all about making lessons interactive—learning works best when we're both involved in the conversation, not just me talking at you. We'll work through ideas together so you actually understand the content, rather than just trying to memorise everything the night before an exam. A huge part of what I do is focusing on exam technique and how to write strong answers. It's not just about knowing your stuff; it's about showing the examiner you know it in a way that gets you marks. We'll practise writing responses, I'll give you feedback, and we'll keep refining your approach until you feel confident tackling whatever question they throw at you.
