I teach piano and cello from my home in Liverpool from beginner to grade 8 level. I hold a cello diploma in performance (ARCM).

About Caitlin
Growing up, music was a large part of my life and I won numerous prizes at local music festivals and for very high exam marks, and I entered Oxford university with an Instrumental scholarship for my cello playing.
Teaching has been a part of all stages of my life, and I love to share my skills with others.

Music is a wonderful gift, and in my teaching I aim to share that gift by both inspiring my students to enjoy making music and giving them a strong foundation of musical skills that will last into adulthood - teaching music ‘for life’ , rather than simply to pass exams.
As a classical musician I emphasise developing a sound technique, efficient practice skills and musical expression, I tailor my approach to the needs and expectations of the individual - there is no ‘one size fits all’.
I put on concerts twice a year, when my younger pupils have a chance to perform to others in a relaxed setting, as well as joining with other students to play duets and trios.
