About Laylalu
I’m Lady Lay, 26-year-old, gigging musician, songwriter, and performer with 16+ years of experience. I perform regularly, tour, and gig across different cities, and I go back and forth between Toronto and Los Angeles. I’m also part of my own band, Twice As Nice, and work across multiple musical styles. I sing, write, perform, and play multiple instruments, and my teaching reflects real-world musicianship, not just theory. My goal is to help students build confidence, musical intuition, and authentic expression, whether they’re stepping into music for the first time or deepening an existing practice. Music should feel human, expressive, and alive — that’s what I teach.

I’m a performing artist and vocal coach offering private singing lessons for adults and young performers who want to build real confidence in their voice, not just “sing louder.”
My approach focuses on healthy technique, breath control, tone, range, and emotional expression, while helping you feel comfortable and grounded when you sing. Whether you’re a beginner, returning to singing, or preparing for performances or recordings, lessons are tailored to your voice, goals, and musical style.
I create a supportive, judgment-free space where you can explore your sound, strengthen your voice, and actually enjoy the process. From genres to jazz, rap & hip hop, RNB, Pop, indie rock, indie pop, Bossa nova, classic rock and more!
