About Naya
I have over 10 years of experience as a singing tutor and hold a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on voice. I specialize in working with choirs, vocal ensembles, and group harmony training. My teaching covers a range of styles including Classical, Sacred, A Cappella, and Barbershop. I am skilled in sight singing, solfège, choral blend, part-singing, and rehearsal leadership. Over the years, I have successfully directed school choirs, college ensembles, and community singing groups. My approach helps singers improve both individual technique and group harmony. I believe that singing together creates a special connection and deep joy. My lessons focus on building confidence while fostering a warm, supportive environment. Students learn to listen closely and blend their voices for a rich, unified sound. Whether preparing for performances or simply enjoying singing, I guide my students with patience and care. Together, we explore the beauty of music and grow as vocalists and as a community. Singing is not just about notes, but about sharing emotions and stories through voice. I look forward to helping you discover the joy of singing together and improving your vocal skills in a nurturing group setting.

My singing methodology centers on caring for the voice with mindfulness and long-term wellness. Each session begins with gentle warm-ups that prepare the vocal cords without strain. Hydration is key—I encourage sipping water regularly to keep the voice healthy and flexible. Healthy vocal placement is taught to reduce tension and produce a clear, resonant sound.
For The Soloist in Training, we balance technical goals with mental calm by integrating mindful breathing and body awareness exercises. This helps build confidence while keeping anxiety low. The Church Ensemble Player learns to blend their voice smoothly while staying connected to the joy of group singing. Together, we focus on enjoying every note.
I recommend using vocal tracking apps to monitor progress and avoid overuse. Mindfulness timers and guided breathwork tools support relaxation before and after singing. This approach ensures that each singer grows their voice sustainably, with care and positivity.
By blending vocal technique with mental calm, students develop a healthy, joyful relationship with singing that lasts a lifetime.
