About Lucinda
My love for teaching led me to a second career in education. I've taught public + private school, online learning, and as an Adjunct Professor in community college. I teach/tutor Spanish, ESL, English Grammar, Reading, Writing, Editing, Aocial Media, Marketing, Career Development and Public Speaking. My students have ranged from Pre-K, all elementary & high school grades, plus community college, military personnel and senior citizens!
Parents and students evaluate my sessions as being: “Engaging; Taught from a perspective I understood; Out-of-the-box; “Fun and real-world experiences weaved into the lessons”
Whether it's last minute test prep, writing/editing a paper, a speaking engagement, or ongoing support, customize the lessons to fit your personal goals. Late nights and daytime hours are available.
My initial career was in Journalism. I'm a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Spanish. Advanced certifications include Professional Teaching, Corporate Spanish and various sales and social media software systems.

"Oh, I get it now"! This is what I hear when my students finally understand something that seemed so complicated. I learned Spanish in school from 8th grade through college and when getting certification to teach corporate Spanish. Being confused, trying to relate the language to English and not having confidence or the time to speak in class are all things I relate to. My sessions are engaging, involve games and are tailored to their needs.
