About Haniah
Hi! I am a Psychology/Sociology/Religious education teacher working in a secondary school. I have a degree in Psychology (2:1), achieved an A* in A-Level Sociology and was assistant head of department for RE in my previous school.
During my teaching career I have helped many students achieve their predicted grades or higher. Many of my students have gone on to pursue studies in Russel Group universities. This is something I am very proud of. I pride myself on helping students get the best possible grades. I am a dedicated teacher/tutor so I am committed to my students.

I allow my students to explore the material for themselves under my careful guidance, rather than teach lecture style. I find this helps retain information but also strengthens understanding and is a technique underpinned by a dearth of research!
The one thing I find holds many students back is capturing their knowledge in their exam answers. My lessons therefore incorporate consistent exam practice followed by specific feedback. I also have a bank of detailed exam answers that I can draw upon in my lessons.
A strength of mine is helping students structure their answers, I train my students to be analytical of their own answers so that they can spot any errors and rectify them quickly. This encourages students to be more independent learners.
My lessons are around an hour, but can be shorter or longer depending on my students’ needs. I have a lot of experience working with SEND students so am able to cater to each individual need well.
