About Charles
In my life, being a teacher and being a musician are two skills that have always walked together. I started studying music at the age of 14 and, at the age of 15, I started the teaching course at CEFAM in Franco da Rocha. Teaching, therefore, has always been part of my professional life. It's my favorite activity. I worked as an instrumentalist (clarinetist and pianist) and I still work as a singer and conductor. But it is in the classes that I find my motivations to continue my studies. Each new apprentice is a new opportunity for me to discover new possibilities and encourage me to study to understand the person in front of me and discover their vocal talents together. EVERYONE can sing. All you need is guidance, resilience and organization.

With the knowledge I acquired in my studies over the years, I developed a working method that is divided into 5 parts:
1.INITIAL CONVERSATION: I like to start knowing how the person's week was, if they have doubts, what they noticed in their studies, how they have organized their studies, etc.
2. VOCAL EXERCISES: I work with exercises that help prepare all the musculature of the learner to deal with the demands of singing.
3. TECHNIQUE: I use specific exercises to work on specific needs and/or I use singing methods to work on musical issues, such as Lütgen, Panofka, Vaccai and Parisotti.
4. REPERTOIRE: built together with the learner. Normally, for each song I choose, I ask the learner to choose one of their own.
5.FINALIZATION: I use the final minutes of the class to do vocal cool-down exercises and also reinforce study points for the next class.
In my classes, I try to bring all my professional experience to help my apprentices discover their talents. I worked as musical director in the plays of CIA Opsis de Teatro, ER Arte, Thymeli Dança Teatro Música, Fábricas de Cultura Program, ATEAL Jundiaí and CIA Sopranas e Profanas. As a vocal coach, I worked with the Philharmonic Orchestra Melhoramentos Caieiras, CIA Navegantes and CIA D'Os Satyros. Currently, I study orchestral and choral conducting at ECA-USP and receive guidance from Maestro Marconi Araújo in lyrical singing and contemporary belting. I have artistic and pedagogical experience to help you in the vocal study process.

Perfect! O professor Charles entendi muito de anatomia, fisiologia e biomecânica da voz. E também entende muito das partes artísticas para cantar bem. Ele sempre trás assuntos novos e instigantes para as aulas. E me ajuda muito a dar conta de todas as músicas que preciso estudar para a minha banda.

Pensa num cara parceiro! Eu procurei o Charles há 5 anos, porque estava com calo na prega vocal. Ele me ajudou a deixar de gritar ao cantar. Com ele eu entendi que tudo é uma questão de técnica. Para cantar forte eu não preciso fazer força. Para cantar agudo eu não preciso gritar. Eu canto rock. Com ele eu aprendi a fazer drives e growlings. Hoje eu canto parecido com meus idolos, mas de maneira confortável e saudável.
Eu indico o professor Charles de olhos fechados! Ele foi meu melhor professor (de qualquer assunto) da vida! Ele me ensinou sobre respiração, fonação, ressonância...
