About Allison
I am an elementary school educator. I have been teaching for ten years and currently teach fourth grade. One of my favorite things about my career is the connections made with students and families and the opportunities to make a difference in their lives.
Human behavior and emotional intelligence have always been passions of mine. In my classroom, I strive to create a safe community where students' social and emotional needs are valued and supported.
I hold a Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Towson University and a Masters Degree in Education from Gratz College.
In my spare time, I love to travel and create adventures. Exercise and running are hobbies of mine and I have a passion for organizing social and active events with friends. I am in constant pursuit of knowledge and life experiences.

I believe in teaching the whole child. I find that students reach high levels of success when they feel emotionally and socially supported. I would like to offer my support to your child in handling stress related to school. In our first session we will get to know one another and create goals and plan for our remaining sessions.
Some of our topics may include:
* Stress Management
* Test Anxiety
* Self-Love/Self-Worth
* Relationships with Peers
* Relationships with Teachers
* Study Skills
After our first session we will set a topic/goal for our next session based on your student's needs. This could include time to talk, breathing exercises, goal setting, multimedia resources utilized, and anything else that will benefit the needs of your child.
Sessions can be held via Skype or Face to Face at a place agreed upon, for example, Starbucks or a Public Library.

My rates are based on the professional experience that I have obtained over the past ten years being an elementary educator. I understand the stress and pressure students can feel and have strategies I've seen work in my own classroom that I can share. I hold a Masters Degree in Education and am continuing my professional development and education.
