About Oscar
I played tennis, table tennis and fencing competitively for my university (as team captains).
From a young age, I was coached by a strict coach who had a son that beat Sampras in his last match at Wimbledon. I am aware that not everybody wants to be crying while hitting the ball (like I was), but due to being completely independent from an employer or contract, I believe I can give you real, honest, and constructive feedback on your tennis, which often isn’t the case with most coaches these days.
I work as an engineer at Imperial College specialising in vestibular neurology research, and am working on an AI project where I may ask you for feedback and suggestions with my tennis coaching app!
- I am DBS certified.
- I have real teaching experience in addition to tennis coaching (as I was a school teacher for 3 years)
I charge £30 per hour (not including court fees). Please ensure that the location you want coaching at such as larger tennis clubs, allows outside coaches. Established coaches have high lesson prices because employers pay their taxes etc...
Send me a message if you need help finding a court near you - I am happy to help, although I do expect you to book the court so that I don’t get abused by no-shows. I also string my own tennis racquets and will be able to advise and perfect your tennis string tension and selection! Happy hitting! :)

I strongly believe we should all strive to play like Roger Federer - movement, serve, forehand, and injury prevention through correct technique is something I have had to personally worry about from playing competitively - partly hence why I like to string my own racquets!
I teach one on one, and groups!
