About Jana
I am a professional tennis player with a strong commitment to working with children, supporting the less fortunate, and promoting active lifestyles. My experiences in sports have created in me the values of teamwork, discipline, and resilience, which I apply in both coaching and mentoring roles. I take great satisfaction in guiding young athletes, helping them develop not only their tennis skills but also their confidence and sportsmanship. Additionally, I express my creativity as a freelance graphic designer, collaborating with clients to realize their visions and deliver impactful designs.
My background includes a variety of extracurricular activities and work experiences that reflect my dedication to personal and professional growth. I hold an A2 DELF certificate and had the honor of serving as a grand marcher at the 2022 senior graduation, which fostered a sense of community and celebration among my peers. I also represented the American University in Cairo (AUC) and my country at the World Interuniversities Championships in France, where I showcased my skills on an international platform.
During my time at AUC, I served as the tennis team captain for two years, where I developed valuable leadership skills while guiding my teammates through both challenges and successes. Under my leadership, we achieved 2nd place in both singles and doubles at the universities’ league. I also worked as a nursery assistant at a trampoline center in Cairo from June to August 2023 and , where I cared for and supervised children aged 2-5, creating a safe and engaging environment.
As a mini tennis coach at Winners Tennis Academy in the summer of 2022 and 2023, I developed engaging programs for children aged 5-10, helping them reach their potential and making them enjoy every second in the game while teaching them the basic skills. This role reinforced my belief in the power of sports in creating character and building relationships.
Currently, I work as a freelance graphic designer, where I collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and deliver customized designs that align with their objectives. This role allows me to merge my artistic skills with my passion for helping others.
My volunteer work includes packing food bags for those in need, serving as an IGCSE teacher assistant, and being an active member of the student union at AUC. I have also volunteered at Egypt’s largest cancer hospital, 57357, and participated in a one-day camp for children aged 5-12 at Winners Tennis Academy (one of the top tennis academies in Egypt), as well as participating at the Special Olympics Day at school every year .
In terms of skills, I excel in graphic design and branding, am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, and possess strengths in creativity, communication, time management, leadership, and patience. I am fluent in English and a native Arabic speaker, I am equipped to connect with diverse audiences and understand their perspectives. My background includes serving as a mini tennis coach at Winners Tennis Academy (Egypt's Top Tennis Academy ), where I developed age-appropriate programs for children aged 5-10, focusing on skill progression and enjoyment.These lessons are designed for beginners to intermediate players, catering to children typically aged 5 to 10 years. My goal is to create a supportive environment where young players can learn at their own pace while fostering a lifelong love for tennis.
