About Andra
I developed a true passion for Physics when I was doing my GCSEs and thinking about what to study at university. I know this is a daunting time with many options and being a student I was in this position not too long ago so I can resonate with many of the issues young people face during this time, academic and everything else.
During my time at school I took part in UKMT Maths Olympiads, British Physics Olympiads and achieved certificate in the British Astrophysics Olympiad. I went to a grammar school and have always worked hard to succeed academically although this means I can recognise the pressures and obstacles a bright student can face. With my experience, friendliness and dedication I am able to provide a guide and support down the right path.
Not only do I have extensive knowledge of Maths and Physics undertaking a difficult degree, it is a true joy for me to help others understand them and I am extremely well prepared to take students step by step to doing well in their exams.

My first lessons with a student consist of getting to know their strong and weak points in the subject. Once I have identified any weak points I will focus on developing these to ensure a solid and watertight foundational understanding to allow for progression. I believe a solid foundation is the start for a student that excels and with my extensive knowledge I can extend these abilities to levels that push their potentials in a balanced way. My lessons are typically one hour long however depending on the student I adapt the structure of my lessons according to individual learning styles.
I have been tutoring for just over 6 months with students of all abilities including those with learning disabilities. I have spent this time refining my tutoring method meticulously and have found it to be extremely successful in helping students overcome their obstacles and feeling accomplished in what they can achieve. I work mainly with 15-18 year old students undertaking their GCSEs or A-Level courses.
