About Chloe
I am a third year student studying Irish, currently I am on placement in the Irish section of a secondary school. Personally I love it, I love helping students who find an area difficult and spending time with them to build their strength in that area. My sister was in Leaving Certificate last year and she wanted to drop Irish since the start of fifth year but I spent as much time as I could with her and she improved unbelievably. However I can only help someone who is willingly to learn, there is no point looking for grinds and help if the student is not willing to put the work in and succeed.

I feel that it is important to understand what areas the student is struggling in before we start lessons. Typically I would start with going through verbs and tenses first as these are important for every age group as they can cause difficulty in writing. When students have a good grasp of these I would be comfortable to move on. In a typical lesson I would spend an hour doing grinds , For Leaving Certificate students I would spend 30 mins on oral work and 30 mins on the written section every class. I think that this is important as there is a good percentage of marks going for both the oral and written exam. student will remember. I am currently a third year student studying Irish and I am on placement in Irish classes in a secondary school so I am aware of what needs to be covered. I am twenty one years of age.
